To mark the publication of ISPAI Hotline.ie Annual Report covering January to December 2014, Internet Service Providers Association of Ireland is going to hold a press event on 14th May 2015.
The opening address will be delivered by Frances Fitzgerald T.D., Minister for Justice and Equality.
Paul Durrant Chief Executive of ISPAI and Hotline.ie Manager will provide an analysis of Online Illegal Content with focus on identified Online Child Sexual Abuse Material and insights on trends and observations.
“Hotline.ie has had a particularly busy year in 2014 as it dealt with the largest number of reports received in its 15 years of full operations. This was an enormous jump of 97% above the average of the previous seven years. As much as it’s never a good indication when more imagery is reported, ISPAI members want to be notified when suspected illegal content is accidentally encountered on the Internet so that swift action could be taken. The Irish Industry is proud to be part of this solution to tackle Online Child Sexual Abuse Material, as this work is only possible through great national and global partnerships.” Paul Durrant, Chief Executive of ISPAI and Hotline.ie Manager
